This site has been set up as a resource for the study of vibrotactile feedback for use in Human-Computer Interaction. We are addressing the problem of HCI using a holistic approach: Providing feedback to multiple senses in concert to improve the use of the high bandwidth that humans are capable of in real interactions. Virtual environment research is one of the areas that we see as having great promise as a technological framework for supporting simulation (e.g., surgical, military), collaboration, communication, and vizualization.
